Using the reliable 4G mobile network, the MindMe Guardian instantly alerts up to three emergency contacts and allows a two-way hands-free call, ensuring help is always within reach.

Pull Cord Activation

What is the MindMe Guardian?

How is the MindMe Guardian installed?

Installation is simple, no professional help required. The device can be securely mounted on the wall using either the included adhesive strips or screws. It’s designed for fast setup in any home environment.

How do I set up the MindMe Guardian for the first time?

MindMe takes care of the programming and setup, including the programming emergency contacts and a pre-loaded SIM card with $30 credit, ensuring your device is ready to use straight out of the box.

How is the emergency alert activated?

There are four easy ways to activate the emergency procedure on the MindMe Guardian:

Voice Activation: Call out the word “Help” within 3–5 metres of the device
SOS Button on Wall Unit: Press the large button located on the Guardian
Pull-Cord Activation: Pull the red cord attached to the base unit
Wearable Pendant: Press the button on the waterproof pendant (Note: this is optional and not required for the system to function)

What is the range of the wearable pendant?

The included wearable pendant has a range of up to 80 metres from the base unit in open space. This makes it suitable for most residential settings, including larger homes and outdoor areas like gardens or patios. The pendant is ideal for times when the user is away from the main unit such as when gardening or relaxing outside, providing added freedom with continued safety.

Please note: the MindMe Guardian SOS Pendant can be worn in the shower However, it cannot be submerged in water, such as in a bathtub.

What happens if an emergency contact doesn’t answer the call?

If the first emergency contact does not answer, the MindMe Guardian will automatically call the next contact in the list. The device will attempt each contact up to two times, helping ensure that someone is reached quickly in an emergency.

Do I need NBN, Wi-Fi, or a landline to use the MindMe Guardian?

No. The MindMe Guardian operates independently using the 4G mobile network similar to a mobile phone. No home internet or landline connection is required.

Are there any ongoing fees or monthly costs?

No ongoing fees are charged by MindMe Pty Ltd. Your initial purchase includes a 4G SIM card with $30 credit. After that, it's your responsibility (or your carer’s) to maintain credit on the SIM card to ensure continued operation. There are no subscription or monitoring fees.

Do I need to provide my own SIM card or mobile account?

No. The MindMe Guardian includes a pre-installed 4G SIM card and mobile account set up by our team before dispatch. However, a BYO SIM option is available upon request.

Please Note: After this initial SIM card credit is used, it is up to the user or nominated carer to recharge the SIM card. Access to your SIM card account will be provided upon product delivery.

How is the MindMe Guardian powered?

The device plugs into a wall socket using the included charging cable.

Backup Power: The Guardian includes a built-in battery with up to 1 hour of backup time in case of a power outage, ensuring you're still protected during blackouts.

Can I update emergency contacts or settings after purchase?

Yes. You can update emergency contacts and other settings at any time by sending an SMS command directly to the MindMe Guardian’s SIM number. This makes it easy for carers or family members to adjust contacts remotely as needed.

Can I move my MindMe Guardian to a new home or a different spot in my home?

Yes. As long as it has access to the 4G mobile network, the device can be used in any Australian location. If you move house, just unplug and reinstall it on the wall at the new location, no technical setup needed.
