Personal Alarm Watch with Fall Detection | MindMe Watch Pro

Living independently means being able to enjoy everyday life while knowing you can contact someone if you need help. For families and carers, it means having a way to stay connected without needing to be there every moment.

The MindMe Watch Pro brings together a personal SOS alarm, fall detection, two-way calling and location tracking in a watch worn on the wrist.

A Simple Way to Call for Help

If the wearer feels unwell, has a fall or needs assistance, pressing and holding the SOS button starts the emergency calling process.

The Watch Pro calls up to three nominated emergency contacts. When someone answers, the wearer can speak directly with them through the watch. If a contact does not answer, the watch moves through the nominated contacts.

MindMe Watch Pro is self-monitored. Alerts go to the people you choose, such as family members, friends or carers. It does not include a staffed 24-hour monitoring centre, so choosing contacts who are available and willing to respond is essential.

Fall Detection for Added Support

The Watch Pro includes fall detection, which can trigger an alert when it detects movement consistent with a fall. This provides another way to raise the alarm if the wearer cannot press the SOS button.

No fall detection system can identify every fall, and some everyday movements may trigger an alert. Whenever possible, the wearer should use the SOS button to request help rather than relying solely on automatic detection.

Stay Connected at Home and Out

The Watch Pro uses its own SIM card for mobile communication, so the wearer does not need to carry a smartphone to make an SOS call.

Two-way calling allows the person answering to hear what has happened and discuss the next steps. The watch requires suitable mobile network coverage and active SIM credit to communicate.

Its location features can also help authorised family members or carers locate the wearer through the companion app. Location accuracy and updates depend on reception, surroundings and available positioning signals.

Who Might Find It Useful?

The MindMe Watch Pro may suit older adults living independently, people with disability, or anyone who would benefit from a straightforward way to contact trusted people for assistance.

A watch format keeps the SOS button close at hand. Before choosing a device, consider the wearer’s wrist size, comfort, ability to operate the button and willingness to charge it regularly.

Set Up for the Individual

MindMe provides setup and programming to help get the watch ready for its wearer. This includes setting up the SIM card and nominated emergency contacts using the information supplied.

Choosing Your Three Emergency Contacts

Choose up to three trusted people—family members, friends or carers—who are likely to answer their phones and can arrange help when needed. Put the person most likely to respond first, followed by two backup contacts.

Let each person know they are an emergency contact, save the watch’s phone number in their phone, and make a test SOS call together so everyone knows what to expect.

Make Charging Part of Your Daily Routine

Place the docking station on your bedside table. Put the Watch Pro on charge when you go to bed, then put it back on your wrist when you get up.

Check that the watch is seated correctly and the charging indicator appears. While charging, the watch is not on your wrist to detect a fall, so keep a phone or another way to call for help within reach, especially if you get up during the night.

Once received, test the watch with the nominated contacts in the places it will usually be worn. Regular charging, checking SIM credit and keeping contact details current help ensure it is ready when needed.
