How it works is quite simple. First, the SOS button raises an alert to contacts with a text of the wearers precise location and begins cycling through contacts, calling until answered. The built in microphone then allows for hands free two-way communication between the wearer and the contact. This makes the MindMe Pro an ideal communication and emergency solution for remote workers, the elderly, those with disabilities, and those working in volatile environments.

What is the MindMe Pro X?

The MindMe Pro X SOS & GPS Personal Alarm combines a mobile phone (4G network), a GPS device, and GPRS satellite technologies, to assist vulnerable individuals to seek assistance quickly in an emergency with one press of a button.

The MindMe Pro X will give you the confidence to remain independent and stay in control by keeping you in touch with family and carers whether you are at home or out and about 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How is the MindMe Pro X monitored?

The MindMe Pro X is a self-monitoring device, giving you and your family & carers control of your safety. You can select up to 5 trusted emergency contacts (including ‘000’) to be contacted via voice call and SMS in an emergency. This means that in an emergency you will be in contact with someone you know and trust to assist you.

How do I carry the MindMe Pro X?

There are multiple ways you can wear the MindMe Pro X, including:

  • Around your neck with a lanyard (included purchase), a chain or leather necklace
  • On your wrist with a purpose designed wrist band (available upon request with purchase)
  • On a belt buckle with a purpose designed belt clip (available upon request with purchase) or generic belt clip
  • Attached to your house/vehicle keys or children’s school bag

Will the MindMe Pro X work outside my home?

YES, the MindMe Pro X operates anywhere there is a mobile network connection. Using the Telstra 4G network, the MindMe Pro X utilises the best network coverage in Australia, ensuring you remain in contact with your emergency contacts.

Does the MindMe Pro X need to be near a base unit to work?

NO, the MindMe Pro X does not require a base station to operate.

Do I need to have the NBN, wireless internet or a landline phone to use the MindMe Pro X?

NO, the MindMe Pro X operates like a mobile phone (4G), only requiring it to have access to the mobile network (The MindMe Pro uses Telstra, which is renowned for having the best network coverage in both Australian Metropolitan and rural areas).

Once I purchase the MindMe Pro X, are there any ongoing monthly costs?

NO, there are no ongoing payments to be made to MindMe Pty Ltd after your initial investment

What MindMe Pro X features can be turned on or off?

The MindMe Pro X allows you to tailor the features to your specific requirements. The below list of features can be turned on or off at any time as required:

How often do I have to charge the MindMe Pro X?

The MindMe Pro X battery will last up to 72 hours after being fully charged. However, we recommend you get into the habit of placing the MindMe Pro X in the charging dock each night by your bed.

If the battery on the MindMe Pro X falls below 20%, all emergency contacts will receive an SMS to advise that the MindMe Pro X needs to be placed in the charging dock.

Can I take the MindMe Pro X into the shower?

YES, the MindMe Pro X has been specifically designed to be worn in the shower or if you are caught walking out in the rain.

Please note, the MindMe Pro X cannot be submerged in a body of water i.e. the bath tub.

Can any phone call into my MindMe Pro X?

YES, As the MindMe Pro X operates like a mobile phone, any phone can call into the MindMe Pro X.  Your MindMe Pro X will ring twice and automatically answer the call, allowing you to have a 2 way hands free conversation with the caller.

Please note, the MindMe Pro X can be programmed so that only your selected emergency contacts can call into the MindMe Pro.

Do I need to use my own SIM card and a mobile account to use the MindMe Pro X?

NO, you will NOT need to use your own SIM card or mobile account as we will install your SIM card and setup your mobile account on your behalf. Please note, we use ALDI mobile SIM card, which operates on the Telstra mobile network.

Can I change the emergency contacts and other features on my MindMe Pro X once they have been set?

YES, your emergency contacts can easily be changed at any time, for instructions, please view the instructional booklet.

How does the built in GPS feature work?

The MindMe Pro X incorporates a Swiss made Ublox 07 GPS module and supports AGPS (Assisted GPS).

The GPS device in your MindMe Pro X is constantly listening for a signal from these satellites. The receiver in your MindMe Pro X calculates how far away it is from the satellites. Once the receiver calculates its distance from four or more satellites, it knows exactly where you are.

Your location on the ground can be determined with incredible precision. The GPS in your MindMe Pro X can usually determine where you are to within a few metres of your actual location.
